CILACAP DEFLATION 0.26 PERCENT IN JANUARY 2025

In January 2025, Cilacap experienced a year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation of 1.56 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.50. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.26 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate in Cilacap for January 2025 was 0.26 percent. Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in almost all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 5.35 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.76 percent; the health group by 3.38 percent; the transportation group by 1.00 percent; the education group by 1.78 percent; the food and beverage/restaurants group by 1.21 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 4.17 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced deflation or a decrease in the index were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 8.02 percent; the household equipment, appliances, and routine household maintenance group by 0.30 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.72 percent; and the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.56 percent.
