Abstract

In March 2024, there was a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Cilacap of 3.10 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.07.

Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in almost all expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 7.07 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.75 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.39 percent; household appliances, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.79 percent; health group by 4.94 percent; transportation group by 1.38 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.39 percent; education group by 1.74 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants group by 0.96 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.31 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services group experienced deflation or a decrease in index by 0.22 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Cilacap for March 2024 were 0.65 percent and 1.14 percent, respectively.
