Abstract

In January 2025, Cilacap experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 1.56 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.50.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rising index of nearly all expenditure groups, namely: Food, beverages, and tobacco by 5.35 percent; Clothing and footwear by 0.76 percent; Health by 3.38 percent; Transportation by 1.00 percent; Education by 1.78 percent; Food and beverage provision/restaurants by 1.21 percent; and Personal care and other services by 4.17 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced deflation or a decrease in the index included: Housing, water, electricity, and household fuels by 8.02 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance by 0.30 percent; Information, communication, and financial services by 0.72 percent; and Recreation, sports, and culture by 0.56 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate was recorded at 0.26 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Cilacap in January 2025 stood at 0.26 percent.
