Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) of Cilacap in 2024 has increased compared to the previous year, reaching 72.55, which represents a growth of 0.71 percent, or an increase of 0.51 points from the 2023 value of 72.04.
The improvement in the HDI of Cilacap in 2024 was supported by positive changes across all its components: life expectancy and healthy living, knowledge, and standard of living.
In the dimension of life expectancy and healthy living, babies born in Cilacap in 2024 have a life expectancy of 74.97 years, an increase of 0.24 years compared to those born in the previous year.
In the education dimension, children in Cilacap aged 7 years and older in 2024 are expected to receive 12.69 years of education, which is almost equivalent to completing education at the high school level. This figure increased by 0.02 years compared to 12.67 years in 2023. Additionally, the average years of schooling for the population aged 25 and older also increased by 0.01 years, from 7.39 years in 2023 to 7.40 years in 2024.
In the standard of living dimension, measured by real per capita expenditure (adjusted) per year, it reached 11.868 million rupiah, an increase of 3.81 percent compared to the previous year
