Abstract

In April 2025, Cilacap experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 2.03 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.30.
The y-on-y inflation was driven by price increases reflected in the rise of nearly all expenditure group indices, including: food, beverages, and tobacco; clothing and footwear; housing, water, electricity, and household fuels; health; transportation; education; food and beverage provision/restaurants; and personal care and other services. On the other hand, certain expenditure groups experienced deflation or a decline in their indices, namely: household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance; information, communication, and financial services; and recreation, sports, and culture.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate stood at 1.04 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Cilacap in April 2025 was recorded at 1.42 percent.
